Job Description

Performs operational functions of data manipulation on various types of label equipment within the department to meet production quality standards and deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include but may not be limited to the following:

1. Operates label machines properly and efficiently to meet production deadlines according to the daily job schedule.
2. Minimizes waste or misuse of raw materials.
3. Communicates label production issues with the Production Supervisor or Manager.
4. Maintains a daily and weekly schedule of cleaning and maintenance for the machines within the department.
5. Performs distribution functions as needed.
6. Maintains inventory levels of raw materials within the production areas.
7. Keeps an accurate log of raw materials used in label production, including date and ID number of cartons, to maintain FIFO inventory and identify quality control issues.
8. Uses TCM system to log each job accurately, recording time and materials.
9. Responsible for maintenance of all dies.
10. Keeps all work areas safe, clean, and in good condition.
11. Follows instructions from supervisors and management to complete tasks or projects accurately and timely.
12. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area, uses PPE, and follows safety rules and procedures.
13. May be required to work overtime or on another shift as needed.

SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday, 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED; or one year of job-related experience/training; or equivalent combination.
• Experience with digital inkjet presses, mechanical and computer aptitude.
• Experience in variable data printing and mailing services preferred.
• Experience with setup and operation of inserters (DM10, Flow Master) and print bindery equipment such as stitchers, binders, cutters, trimmers, folders, mailers, tippers, and poly wrappers.
