Job summary

SOC, a Day & Zimmermann company, seeks a Test & Validation Integration Engineer to bridge lab staging and field deployment. You will rack, stack, wire, and configure multi-vendor compute, storage, and network systems in a controlled lab.

You’ll run pre-deployment tests, validate Kubernetes and storage integration, and author deployment runbooks for rapid field activations. Required TS/SCI clearance and hands-on experience with Cisco/Arista/Palo Alto hardware, RAID, iDRAC/IPMI, and container

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Hands-on racking, stacking, cabling, and configuring enterprise infrastructure.
• Provisioning compute and storage fabrics including RAID and out-of-band management (iDRAC/IPMI).
• Kubernetes deployment, configuration, and validation across bare-metal and virtual nodes.
• Ability to troubleshoot faults from Layer 1 through Layer 4 using CLI diagnostics and packet captures.
• Clear SOPs, cabling diagrams, and field-activation runbooks documentation.

Responsibilities

• Rack, stack, and cable high-density servers, storage, and network devices in data center racks.
• Provision devices across Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto hardware and initialize configurations.
• Run end-to-end pre-deployment functionality tests and validate network/storage interoperability.
• Deploy and validate Kubernetes clusters, container runtimes, and CNI/CSI plugins.
• Create and refine staging/runbooks to enable rapid, plug-and-play on-site activations.
