Job summary

Phillips & Temro Industries is seeking an engineer to support product evaluation and lab testing. You will maintain the Engineering lab, calibrate equipment, and assist with validation testing to ensure products meet specifications.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of professional experience, including hands-on testing with vibration shakers and environmental chambers.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience operating vibration shaker testing equipment and environmental chambers.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to understand, execute and document tests.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools to fabricate test fixtures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Engineering lab area and calibration of test equipment.
• Ensure lab facilities comply with safety regulations and policies.
• Analyze methods for evaluating products and perform tests; assist with validation testing.
• Report and document test results as specified.
• Collaborate with design engineering to interpret customer validation requests.
• Provide project status & risk assessments to engineering personnel.
• Complete lab requests documentation and fabricate prototypes as needed.
• Assist in development and implementation of test standards and maintain documentation.
