Job summary

Default is seeking a Test Technician to support a diverse product portfolio through design, construction, operation, and maintenance of test lab systems. You will handle calibration records, measurement tasks, and data collection while ensuring safety and on-time delivery.

The role requires testing experience, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with LabVIEW; HS Diploma or GED is required, with 0–2 years relevant experience. This on-site position offers growth in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Testing experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• LabVIEW software knowledge desired.
• HS Diploma or GED with 0–2 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot test lab systems.
• Support lab equipment such as compressors, cooling towers, pumps, and gearboxes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and investigate test stand failures.
• Maintain calibration records, test records and component inventory.
• Use high-precision measurement systems for pre- and post-test measurements.
• Collaborate with engineers on test plans, designs, and improvements.
• Review test results against acceptance criteria and report findings.
• Communicate with technicians, engineers, managers, and customers as needed.
