Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC in Marietta, GA is seeking a Materials Testing Engineer I to perform hands-on testing in our Marietta Super Lab. You will conduct load, hydrostatic pressure, and lifecycle tests on a wide range of components and systems, design and fabricate test fixtures, and generate data.

The role includes a 90‑day training period, adherence to safety procedures, and reporting. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, with 0–2 years in testing; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in testing environment; beverage machine testing is desired but not required.
• Willingness to learn testing techniques, procedures and specifications.
• Ability to perform test programs and procedures to written instructions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more daily and to operate lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow testing and setup procedures, techniques and specifications.
• Perform basic coding with custom test scripts.
• Build and fabricate custom test rigs and fixtures as needed.
• Learn and adhere to safety procedures.
• Prepare work orders in accordance with QAP for testing to be performed.
• Perform test programs and procedures to written instructions.
• Interpret and evaluate results, communicate to customers effectively.
• Generate reports and documentation as required.
• Procure supplies for lab with appropriate approvals.
