Job summary

MANA Family Medicine Clinics are seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join the patient care team and perform a variety of laboratory procedures with independence and sound judgment. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and reagents, maintaining inventories, checking expiration dates, and completing end-of-day shutdown tasks.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 7–11 months of related experience, and certification as a lab tech in Arkansas.

Qualifications

  • Certified in Arkansas as a lab tech or other certification.

Overview

As a Laboratory Technologist, you’ll be an important part of our patient care team, using your knowledge and expertise to perform a variety of laboratory procedures. You’ll work independently, tackle complex challenges, and use good judgment to ensure accurate, high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare laboratory and laboratory equipment for daily operation (e.g., turn on equipment and computer, retrieve necessary chemicals, reagents, etc.)
  • Inventory lab supplies to ensure sufficient amounts are available
  • Examine expiration dates of chemicals and replace expired products
  • Perform shut-down procedures on equipment at end of day (e.g., general cleaning, flushing lines, disassembly, return
