Job summary

College of New Caledonia in Prince George, BC, seeks a Casual Lab Technician in Technologies to support the program with lab setup, inventory, safety inspections, maintenance, and purchasing. You will work closely with instructors and staff to ensure timely, quality support for student learning.

Qualifying you will hold a two-year diploma, have 2+ years of related experience, and be capable with program software/hardware. Forklift training is required or to be obtained within six months.

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in the field being supported.
• 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination.
• Forklift training required or to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and document training aids from departmental specs.
• Perform configuration and routine maintenance of program training aids.
• Diagnose and resolve lab system hardware/software issues; identify root causes.
• Conduct daily lab inspections to identify and rectify safety issues per WorkSafe BC and procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update the college inventory system.
