ECS Florida, LLC in Melbourne, FL is hiring a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Soils Laboratory Technician. No experience is required; paid training is provided and certification fees are paid as you earn credentials.

You’ll learn to safely perform a variety of tasks in our concrete and soils laboratories under supervision. This role offers growth opportunities with on‑the‑job guidance, and you’ll participate in standard lab tests, sample prep, data entry, and QA/QC documentation while

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0 years of related experience.
• Obtain lab certifications applicable to the lab work performed per policy.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.
• Strong communication and basic math skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
• Dependable, self-motivated and responsible work ethic.
• Ability to follow directions under close supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency including Word and Excel.

Mansioni

• Performs basic laboratory tests on soil and construction material samples under supervision.
• Assists with sample preparation and testing procedures.
• Compiles test results, data input, data processing, and other administrative duties.
• Performs soils laboratory testing including Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, swell, moisture content, and visual classifications.
• Performs unconfined compressive strength testing of soil and rock and standard/modified proctor testing.
• Maintains a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Supports calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment and documents QA/QC records.
• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment; supports fieldwork as needed.
