Job summary

SGS North America Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented technical writer with laboratory exposure to ensure regulatory label compliance and accurate reporting.

You will translate technical data into clear documents, coordinate with customer service and technical teams, and support lab operations with essential administrative tasks. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related scientific field, strong accuracy, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific writing, or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory or technical writing role.
• Familiarity with SOPs.
• High level accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple project deadlines and priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and document management tools.

Responsibilities

• Review product labels for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare accurate test reports in Microsoft Word.
• Interface with customer service and technical team for reporting accuracy.
• Support lab operations with administrative tasks.
• Review packaging and labeling requirements for various product categories.
• Create clear, compliant test reports in a timely manner.
• Compare reports against client SOPs to confirm validity.
• Collaborate with technical team and lab managers to interpret findings.
