Job summary

SGS, a world-leading testing, inspection and certification company, seeks a laboratory professional to prepare samples for analysis after training, using department SOPs and basic instrumentation. You will perform routine maintenance and calibration of prep instruments, maintain technical records, and ensure compliance with ISO 17025 or GLP standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining the Laboratory Notebook, adhering to SGS policies, and supporting lab operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (Required).
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (Preferred).

Job Description
  • After appropriate training independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS’ analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies
  • Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration of prep instruments/equipment
  • Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations.
  • Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
  • Must be compliant with SGS HSE policies and adhere to ISO 17025 or GLP Regulations.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required.
