Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Lab Technician for a contract position based in Glenview, IL. The role supports laboratory and product development activities through sample preparation, testing, documentation, and operation of lab equipment, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality compliance.

You will follow procedures, maintain records, monitor supplies, and contribute to reports while working a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of laboratory experience in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and documentation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of chemistry or a related scientific discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples and materials according to established procedures.
• Follow formulas, specifications, and laboratory instructions.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory and pilot-scale equipment.
• Support product development, testing, and research projects.
• Accurately measure and handle raw materials and samples.
• Maintain detailed records of laboratory activities and results.
• Prepare basic reports, charts, and documentation.
• Monitor laboratory supplies and inventory levels.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Follow all safety, quality, and laboratory protocols.
