Job summary

Actalent is seeking an R&D Technician to support laboratory testing, document results, and ensure testing activities meet schedules in Alpharetta, GA. The role emphasizes meticulous data recording and adherence to GLP, GDP, and GMP standards.

The position involves working closely with lab engineers and technicians, performing planned test protocols, and contributing to regulatory submissions for medical devices. It is a fully onsite, contract role with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience performing testing and/or inspection in a laboratory setting or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Ability to perform repetitive laboratory tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic experience with data entry and documentation in laboratory systems or databases.
• Ability to work independently once training is completed while maintaining compliance with laboratory procedures.
• Understanding of or willingness to learn GLP, GDP, and GMP requirements.
• Some college-level coursework in a scientific, technical, or related field is desirable.
• Previous experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform product testing in accordance with established test methods and laboratory procedures.
• Comply with GLP, GDP, and GMP standards after completing training.
• Participate as an active team member in testing activities, collaborating with lab engineers, technicians, and the lab coordinator.
• Work closely with lab engineers, other technicians, and the lab coordinator under some supervision to execute test plans and protocols.
• Accurately document test results and observations into a laboratory information management system (LIMS) or other databases.
• Work independently to perform assigned testing tasks once training is completed.
• Support testing activities related to product revisions and regulatory submissions for medical devices.
• Perform other laboratory duties as assigned to support overall testing and quality control efforts.
