Job summary

Hexcel seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications. The role supports Manufacturing and Quality through testing, accurate reporting, and equipment upkeep in a 12-hour rotating shift.

Qualifications

• Three years of lab/manufacturing experience required.
• High School diploma required.
• Associate degree in chemistry, chemical technology, materials science, engineering technology, or related field preferred.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing laboratory is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, identify, and test laboratory samples according to procedures.
• Perform routine physical and/or chemical testing using approved methods.
• Accurately record, review, and report laboratory results using logs and electronic systems.
• Communicate abnormal, questionable, or nonconforming results promptly to stakeholders.
• Support investigations and troubleshooting related to manufacturing processes and product quality.
• Operate, clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Maintain laboratory records, standards, reagents, and supplies.
• Follow SOPs, quality requirements, safe-work practices, and environmental regulations.
• Contribute to continuous-improvement efforts in test methods and workflow.
• Maintain an orderly, audit-ready laboratory environment.
• Assist with procedure revisions, training, and other lab activities.
