Job summary

Element Materials Technology in Eagan is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support the microbiology, viral, and chemistry teams. The role involves making media, sterilizing glassware, and general supportive tasks in an ISO/GLP compliant laboratory.

You will help maintain a clean, organized workspace, log samples, prep reagents, and assist with daily lab operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years lab experience.
• Good time management and prioritization.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan daily work and arrange activities to meet deadlines.
• Follows instructions, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Handles day to day repeatable needs of the lab to ensure efficient and clean operation.
• Log in of received samples into the computer system, cleans workspaces, washes / sterilizes glassware and lab equipment for reuse.
• Handles waste removal.
• Prepares reagents, orders supplies, and conducts media preparation.
