Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to support sample receipt and filter testing in a fast-paced lab. The role emphasizes precision, cleanliness, and adherence to procedures, with opportunities for growth from entry-level to experienced candidates.

The successful candidate will perform plate handling, incubation, microscopy, gravimetric analysis, and report generation while maintaining a safe, compliant laboratory environment at the Austin site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology required or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of laboratory experience preferred.
• 3+ years of Computer usage with Microsoft Office and company applications.

Responsibilities

• Aseptically handle, store, and manage agar contact plates.
• Conduct incubation processes and microscopic identification of colonies.
• Dispose of biohazardous waste safely and document procedures.
• Perform 10-20 optical microscopies per day and gravimetric filter weighing.
• Calibrate laboratory balances daily and run GC-MS calibration procedures.
• Prepare and review SOPs and other documentation.
• Produce accurate customer reports and answer technical questions.
