Simple Laboratories, based in Chicago with the Harwood Heights HQ, is seeking a full-time Lab Technician II to join the Micro team. The role focuses on routine and analytical tasks, sample processing, data recording, and maintaining lab cleanliness and equipment.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and GC/MS/LC/MS experience. You will work 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with alternating weekends, and contribute to training and process improvements within a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, MLS, MT or meet local regulatory requirements.
• Prior GC/MS and LC/MS experience required.
• Ability to prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with computers and CLS/LIS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex testing on patient specimens using LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and immunoassays.
• Accurately interpret, verify, and report test results per protocols.
• Assist in method development, optimization, and validation of new clinical tests.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly equipment maintenance routines.
• Verify chain of custody documents, quality controls, and calibrations.
• Provide technical assistance to ensure smooth laboratory workflow.
• Operate laboratory equipment and maintain data logs and records.
• Follow quality procedures and confidentiality requirements.
• Consult with staff on routine testing issues and practices.
• Adhere to SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe work environment and use PPE correctly.
• Support training of junior staff and contribute to team efforts.
