Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a GCMS Laboratory Technician in Austin, TX to perform GC-MS analyses, maintain instruments, and ensure ISO 17025 compliance. The role requires strong data handling and cross-functional collaboration to support daily production analyses.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
• 3+ years GC-MS maintenance and operation.
• Knowledge of statistical principles in analytical chemistry.
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily GC-MS lab operations: calibration curves, sample prep, and inventory.
• Plan and perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting in high-volume production.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure timely reporting of results.
• Identify deviations and communicate analysis issues affecting results.
• Adhere to SOPs and quality control requirements.
• Design method improvements and validate new processes and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, audit-ready work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
