Job description

Location: Austin, TX- onsite

Hiring manager notes:
Physically able to lift 25lbs off the ground.
No degree required- candidates with HS diploma/GED are fine.
Let's avoid those with master's or PhD's, we are looking for a tech. We do not want to bring someone in and have them leave in 6 months.
Prior military a plus but not required.
Candidates that are Tech savvy or Industry enthusiasts would be great for this role. Experience with building systems, Power and Performance or "PPV" a plus, experience with thermal testing a plus.
Let's not pay/submit at the highest end of the pay scale, if possible.


THE ROLE:
General Lab Support for Client Notebook and Desktop products

THE PERSON:
A candidate with a passion for technology and computers, with strong verbal and communicative skills, and excels in a team/lab environment. Hands-on skills in building & debugging Client PC systems, execution of manual and automated testing, with good lab organizational & housekeeping skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain lab space, test racks, infrastructure, & test equipment
• Update and maintain Inventory SOR
• Soldering
• Support engineers with automated and manual test execution on multiple platforms
• Support root cause failure analysis with software and hardware debugging utilities/tools.
• Build, Configure, Support, and Troubleshoot lab systems, both hardware and software.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Inventory SOR knowledge
• Basic electronics knowledge
• Basic Microsoft product experience
• PC build knowledge
• Basic shooting skills
