Job summary

Manchester Community College is seeking a Lab/Instructional Technician III for the Computer Science Lab. The role supports faculty with instruction, maintains lab equipment, and manages virtualization and storage systems to ensure a reliable instructional environment.

The position requires an Associate degree in CS and 4 years of CS experience, with the ability to document procedures and provide technical assistance to students and staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science or related field; required.
• Four (4) years of experience in Computer Science; required.
• Ability to perform mechanical, technical, and administrative duties in a lab setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and follow standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, configure, troubleshoot, repair, image, and upgrade CS laboratory computers and equipment.
• Troubleshoot classroom networking, connectivity, and related infrastructure.
• Maintain servers, Proxmox virtualization, VMs, VDI, storage, NAS, and backup systems.
• Install, deploy, update, test, and troubleshoot specialized instructional software and virtual environments.
• Support XR/VR, AI/GPU, Digital Engineering, computer vision, 3D imaging, robotics, and related technologies.
• Prepare and maintain laboratories and equipment for instructional use.
