Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Lab Assistant II for the Indianapolis location. This position involves working Monday to Friday, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including rotational weekends. The Lab Assistant will perform various laboratory functions to assist professional staff in ensuring accurate and efficient sample handling.

Eligible candidates will have at least one year of experience in a technical or clinical laboratory and a high school diploma. Compensation starts at $17.20 per hour, with additional benefits and an opportunity for performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• One year full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory department.
• Basic knowledge of organizational/departmental policies and procedures.
• Capability to perform lifting and carrying tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling, and preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens.
• Clean and maintain lab work area and equipment.
• Enter data in laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Comply with health and safety policies.
