Job summary

Cordnet Health Solutions in Flagstaff, AZ is seeking a self-motivated Lab Technician to join our Laboratory Operations team. You will prepare batches of samples by receiving and sorting urine and oral fluid specimens at your assigned workstation.

The Lab Technician reads and scans Chain of Custody forms, orders applicable tests, applies barcoded labels, verifies aliquot volumes, and helps transport batches while maintaining strict chain of custody and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a laboratory or high-volume production environment preferred.
• Ability to interpret and follow written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare batches of samples by receiving and sorting urine and oral fluid specimens at the assigned workstation.
• Read and scan Chain of Custody (CoC) forms, ordering applicable tests in the system.
• Apply barcoded labels to ensure samples are properly prepared for testing.
• Verify proper aliquot volume; may hand-pour aliquots using bulb pipettes.
• Assist with transporting batches to other departments and maintaining chain of custody.
• Follow laboratory policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
