Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a self-motivated Lab Technician to join the Laboratory Operations team in Indianapolis, IN. You will prepare samples, read Chain of Custody forms, and ensure proper labeling and test ordering in the system.

The role requires attention to detail, data entry skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment. The position is full-time with day and evening shifts, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a laboratory or high-volume production environment preferred.
• Ability to interpret and follow complex written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail required.
• Data entry skills (alpha and numeric keyboarding) needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare batches of samples by receiving and sorting urine and oral fluid specimens.
• Read and scan Chain of Custody forms and order tests in the system.
• Aliquot specimens into testing vials and apply barcodes.
• Verify proper aliquot volume and assist with hand-pouring if needed.
• Enter client and donor information and note deficiencies after review.
• Transport batches to other departments and manage storage with proper chain of custody.
