Job summary

Pace Analytical Services LLC in Altoona, PA seeks a Lab Technician I to support scientists by preparing water and soil samples, following established procedures, and maintaining documentation. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, are comfortable working in a laboratory setting, and can wear PPE; prior lab or environmental testing experience is preferred but not required. Pace offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Prepare water and soil samples for analysis.
• Follow established sample preparation procedures.
• Work with solvents and chemicals for sample preparation.
• Maintain and update documentation and databases.
