Job summary

ALS Limited is seeking a Laboratory Technician 1 for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) in Phoenix. You will perform various laboratory tests including titrations, ICP analysis, and viscosity testing, while strictly following safety and quality guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tasks are performed within time restraints according to quality and safety policies.
• Use results from test methods in calculations (e.g., Cetane Index, Viscosity).
• Prepare and aliquot samples for required tests.
• Load samples on automated instrumentation following validated methods.
• Perform routine verification and calibration on equipment.
• Perform analysis on samples (wet chemistry).
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Prepare and maintain standards and reagents.
• Manage sample storage and disposal in accordance with policy.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and reagents.
• Participate in shift handovers and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
