Job summary

ALS Limited is seeking an Analyst to analyze samples using manual and advanced instrumental techniques, following prescribed methods and SOPs. The role requires interpreting results, performing QC, maintaining records, and troubleshooting instruments.

You will work in a safety-conscious environment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate has a science degree, 1–5 years of lab experience, and strong communication, organization, and computer skills, including LIMS and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related science preferred.
• ICPMS/ICP-AES/ICP-OES experience strongly preferred.
• 1–5 years analytical laboratory experience preferred.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to initiate corrective action and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work under pressure with large sample volumes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Analyze samples using manual and complex instrumental techniques per SOPs.
• Analyze, interpret, and review results; peer review of data.
• Perform quality control and maintain records.
• Record observations in bound and electronic notebooks.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and maintain safe work area.
• Adhere to safety practices and assist with other duties as assigned.
