Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the Mather, CA lab to maintain data records, prepare blood components, and ensure product quality. The role operates on the Tuesday–Saturday shift, from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, with an hourly base rate of $21.00–$21.63 plus applicable shift differentials.

No prior experience is required; a High School diploma or GED is accepted. Candidates should be detail‑oriented, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and uphold donor, patient, and employee confidentiality in

• Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
• Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
• Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
• Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
