Job summary

SGS North America Inc. in Brookings, SD is seeking a laboratory technician to prepare samples for analysis according to SGS SOPs and department instruments.

You will perform routine instrument maintenance, document results in the Laboratory Notebook, and ensure compliance with HSE policies and ISO 17025/GLP.

High school diploma and 1–2 years in analytical chemistry labs preferred; on-site, full-time role with potential growth in a global diagnostics network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 1–2 years in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 or GLP regulations is desirable.
• Ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain basic prep instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis following analytical SOPs.

Job Description

After appropriate training independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS' analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration of prep instruments/equipment Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations. Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable. Must be compliant with SGS HSE policies and adhere to ISO 17025 or GLP Regulations. Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma (Required)1-2 years of years' relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (Preferred)
