STgenetics is seeking a Lab Technician to join our growing laboratory team in Ohio. The role offers hands-on, structured training with a clear pathway to increased technical responsibility and advancement across the lab.

Initial duties include applying foundational lab skills, such as flow cytometry and sperm physiology, under supervision, with opportunities to operate multiple sorters and contribute to process improvements over time.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or better.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for deeper lab proficiency.
• 2+ years of related experience or equivalent education required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts and communicate professionally with team members.
• Operate and maintain lab sorters and computers for data entry.
• Contribute to daily production of sexed semen with emphasis on sterility and semen quality.
• Perform startup, calibration, sort set-up and shutdown of sorters; assist with cleaning, sterilization and bacterial testing.
• Maintain sterile techniques to prevent contamination of samples and equipment.
• Utilize software applications to compile, format, and report data.
• Adhere to universal safety precautions to protect self and coworkers from biohazards.
• Handle hazardous chemical/biological agents and/or radiation safely.
• Monitor inventory and storage of lab materials.
• Keep updated on vendors and supplies relevant to laboratory needs.
