Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking a part-time Lab Technician / Programming Support at Webster Office to procure urine specimens and Breathalyzer samples, test and preserve them, and maintain testing equipment. You will report results, maintain records, testify in court when required, and collaborate with CCC staff, Probation Officers, and DRC personnel to ensure accurate reporting.

Qualifications include an Associate's Degree in criminal justice and strong communication, with proficiency

Qualifications

• Proven ability to test, track and preserve urine specimens according to policies.
• Knowledge of urine collection and drug testing procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate state-of-the-art drug testing equipment.
• Experience working with diverse offender populations.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Access.

Responsibilities

• Procure urine specimens and Breathalyzer samples from inmates.
• Test, track and preserve urine specimens per procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate drug testing equipment.
• Accurately report urine and Breathalyzer test results.
• Maintain drug and alcohol testing records.
• Testify in court on test accuracy and procedures.
• Train staff and interns in testing and data management.
• Maintain confidentiality of personal data.
• Collaborate with CCC staff and Probation Officers to ensure information flow.
