Job summary

Saputo, Inc. is seeking a laboratorian to support regulatory duties, ensure product quality, and perform sampling and swabbing. The role involves CIP audits, chemical handling, and equipment calibration in a dairy processing setting.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter

• Responsible for regulatory assistance, recordkeeping, systems control and general lab duties.
• Responsible for the quality and appearance of the product.
• State requested pathogen sampling.
• Equipment and environmental swabbing.
• Pasteurizer timing/sealing scheduling including assisting inspectors.
• Bulk chemical concentration mixing.
• Pest control monitoring including assisting PCO.
• Maintain charts making sure they are in compliance with State and associated records.
• Responsible for chemical inventory and ordering.
• COA recordkeeping and distribution.
• Calibration of thermometers and charting thermometers.
• Do CIP systems audits.
• General relief lab duties, including using FT 120, cleaning of work area, washing glassware, using the distiller and cheese grinding.
• State required water sampling.
• Assist chemical representatives.

You Are Best Suited For The Role If You…

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in use of the computer.
• Must have a solid organizational, analytical problem solving and communication skills.
• Maintain good sanitation and housekeeping of work areas.
• Compliance to Saputo Food Safety policies.
• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Must be able to appropriately handle and use cleaning chemicals.

Starting Wage $28.61 per hour.

Hours are 5am-1:30pm with weekend rotation.
