Job summary

Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery in Middlebury, VT, is hiring a Laboratory Technician for full-time. Shifts are 10 hours, between 4am and 5pm, with a flexible schedule including rotating weekends and holidays. Starting pay is $26.15 per hour.

Responsibilities include performing tests on milk, cheese, whey, and samples; inputting data into software; creating reports and charts; ensuring quality standards; and working with flexibility to meet deadlines. Vermont certification is required after training.

Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery has a full-time opening for a Laboratory Technician. 10-hour shifts between hours of 4a-5p. Flexible work schedule required, including rotating weekends, and working scheduled holidays. Pay rate starts at $26.15/hour.

• Perform laboratory tests on milk, finished cheese and whey products, environmental samples, and ingredients in a timely and accurate manner to assure that Agri-Mark quality standards are met.
• Must become certified by the State of Vermont to perform all testing associated with the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (after training!)
• Input of all analytical data into various software, as well as running reports and creating charts/graphs. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite are beneficial.
• Time management skills are a must.
• We are seeking an individual who possesses strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively multi-task and meet project deadlines. Must have mature judgment abilities as well as the ability to mentor other Lab Technicians, work flexibility is a must, HS diploma or GED.
