Job summary

United Felts is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Support Technician to ensure products meet internal, customer, regulatory, and ISO requirements. You will inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products, and maintain documentation in the quality system.

You will perform calibration on in-house equipment, support non-conformance investigations, and help drive fact-based decisions through laboratory data and testing, while following all safety policies.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma with 3 months on-the-job training.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work independently when needed.
• Multitasking is required.

Job description

Summary

Inspection and testing of incoming material, product in process, and finished goods and the physical operation of the Quality System.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the Company’s inspection and test procedures for Incoming Materials.

1. Manufacturing Quality Support & Collaboration

• Provide real-time quality support to manufacturing operations to ensure products meet internal, customer, regulatory, and ISO requirements.
• Perform inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products as needed.
• Identify, communicate, and elevate quality concerns, trends, or risk to Quality Management in a timely and structured manner.

2. Non-Conformance & Continuous Improvement

• Support investigations of non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints by reviewing laboratory data and coordinating findings to Lab Lead.
• Assist root cause analysis
• Use laboratory data and hands-on testing to validate hypotheses and drive fact-based decision making.

3. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of laboratory activities, test results, inspections, and quality records.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing laboratory documentation and assisting in responses to audit findings related to the laboratory.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma. Satisfactorily complete 3 months of on-the-job training.
• Basic Computer Skills and the ability to work independently when needed.
• Multitasking is required.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and laboratory environment.
• Standing, walking, and lifting to 35 lbs. for extended periods.
• Requires a full range of motion including eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Must have basic math skills.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and standard factory conditions.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday; however, flexibility is required and may include evenings or weekends based on production and business needs.
