Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Lab Technician for a multi-year contract in Lafayette, IN. The role is day shift (Mon-Fri) with a $20 per hour rate and a $41,600 annual equivalent plus benefits.

Responsibilities include analytical testing of incoming materials, sample handling, LIMS transactions, waste disposal, and routine instrument calibration. Qualifications

• High School diploma is required or equivalent.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline is required.
• Basic experience with simple office/operational systems.
• Works with guidance to develop plans and take actions based on recommendations.
• Works with guidance to analyze data trends for reports to guide decisions.
• Works with guidance to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to meet objectives.
• GMP laboratory environment familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytical testing on incoming raw materials using UV/Vis, IR, HPLC, GC TOC and microbial analysis.
• Sample weighing and sample receipt.
• Complete LIMS transactions and manage waste disposal.
• Order materials and assist in inventory.
• Maintain housekeeping and perform routine instrument calibration.

Job Title: Lab Technician (contract)

Location: Lafayette, IN

Shift: Day (Mon-Fri)

Length of Assignment: Open Ended

Rate: $20/hr. or $41,600 annual equivalent + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct analytical testing on incoming raw materials by various techniques such as, but not limited to, UV/Vis, IR, HPLC, GC TOC, and Microbial analysis.

• Sample weighing

• Sample receipt

• Completion of LIMS transactions

• Waste disposal

• Ordering materials

• Housekeeping

• Routine instrument calibration

• Assist in inventory

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma

• Associate degree or Bachelors degree in a science related discipline

• Basic experience of simple office / operational systems

• Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements

• Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making

• Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives

• Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives

• The laboratory is a GMP environment
