The Opportunity

This Lab Technician role is essential for the smooth functioning of daily warehouse activities. This role will play a key part in pinpointing potential problems and guaranteeing the accurate tracking, sorting, and processing of hardware components. Through close collaboration with teams like operations and supply chain, the Lab Technician will contribute to optimizing workflows, boosting accuracy, and maximizing overall efficiency. This position is vital for upholding the quality and dependability of Flock's hardware operations, thereby supporting the company's success.

The Skillset

• Operation and maintenance of lab bench tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power supplies).
• Proficient in manual soldering techniques adhering to IPC standards.
• Understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) principles, concepts, and basic measurements.
• Experienced in accurate technical documentation of test procedures and results.
• Skilled in identifying and resolving technical issues with hardware.
• Meticulous attention to detail in laboratory procedures and data collection.

The First 30 Days

• Learn Foundational Knowledge & Build Relationships: Acquire a comprehensive understanding of Flock's hardware, warehouse operations, and connect with key team members.
• Identify & Propose Initial Improvements: Analyze current asset handling and warehouse processes to suggest concrete opportunities for increased efficiency.
• Support Operations & Provide Process Feedback: Actively participate in daily asset management tasks and share observations for ongoing process enhancement.
  
  

The First 60 Days

• Enhance Asset Tracking & Audit Skills: Achieve proficiency in managing asset documentation, accurately tracking key product lines, and independently executing inventory audits.
• Strengthen Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively engage with technical and engineering teams to identify and address issues in asset workflows.
• Drive Documentation & Workflow Improvements: Propose and contribute to the implementation of enhancements in asset management processes and documentation.
  
  

90 Days & Beyond

• Lead and Optimize Asset Audit Procedures: Take full ownership of the monthly audit process, ensuring accuracy and implementing significant improvements for efficiency.
• Drive Comprehensive Asset Management Enhancements: Lead the development and implementation of improvements across asset management workflows and documentation.
• Enhance Testing Workflows for Technical Operations: Identify and implement significant upgrades and streamlining efforts within testing procedures.

Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day.
• The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
• The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.
  
  

Salary & Equity

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary between $75,200 to $103,400 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options.
