Job summary

We are seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician to join our client's team in Conroe, Texas. You will support daily laboratory operations, assist scientists with routine testing, maintain equipment, and ensure a clean, safe working environment.

No prior college degree or professional laboratory experience is required; comprehensive hands-on training is provided. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and good written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sample Preparation & Handling: Receive, log, label, and prepare samples according to SOPs.
• Routine Laboratory Testing under guidance: Assist with basic testing, QC checks, and standard measurements.
• Equipment Maintenance & Calibration: Clean, assemble, sanitize, and calibrate lab glassware and instruments.
• Data Logging & Reporting: Record experimental data, test results, and batch records.
• Inventory Management: Monitor lab supplies and assist with restock orders.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean workspace, follow PPE and OSHA guidelines.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Entry-Level Laboratory Technician to join our client's team in Conroe. In this role, you will support daily laboratory operations, assist scientists with routine testing, maintain equipment, and ensure a clean, safe working environment. No prior college degree or professional laboratory experience is required. We provide comprehensive hands-on training for high school graduates with a strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, a passion for science and hands-on technical work.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample Preparation & Handling: Receive, log, label, and prepare incoming fluids or material samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Routine Laboratory Testing: Assist with basic physical and chemical testing, quality control checks, and standard measurements under guided supervision.
• Equipment Maintenance & Calibration: Clean, assemble, sanitize, and calibrate lab glassware, instruments, and testing apparatuses.
• Data Logging & Reporting: Accurately record experimental data, test results, and batch records in digital databases and physical logs.
• Inventory Management: Monitor lab supplies, track stock levels, and assist with restock orders to prevent operational downtime.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean workspace, strictly adhere to safety protocols (PPE, OSHA guidelines), and safely dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma. Coursework in chemistry, biology, algebra, or physical science is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following step-by-step instructions.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, or data entry tools).
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Solid verbal and written communication abilities.
• Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and handle basic lab equipment safely.
