During your time as a Lab Technician, you will

• Prepare and document experiment conditions and equipment configurations, daily testing results, and communicate the results to the supervisor.
• Perform necessary mathematical calculations with results often requiring additional interpretation.
• Contribute to experiment planning and scheduling in cooperation with the supervisor.
• Enter and follow up on maintenance and repair work orders for pilot equipment and instrumentation to ensure all equipment and instrumentation are in safe working order.
• Keep inventory of raw materials and products, notify the supervisor when supplies are low, and handle shipping and receiving of raw materials and products.
• Identify hazards and participate in EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) programs, report incidents and near misses, and take ownership of housekeeping in your designated area.

If you...

• Have a minimum of a High School diploma or a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Material Science.
• Possess at least 3 years of laboratory experience.
• Have basic proficiency with laboratory equipment, tools, tubing, and related process equipment.
• Have mechanical skills critical to the position, including operating, repairing, maintaining, ordering, and troubleshooting pilot equipment.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have experience with pilot processing equipment such as extrusion, tablet presses, grinding, spray drying, stirred tanks, drying, calcining equipment, and autoclaves; experience with these is highly desired.
• Have a foundational knowledge of Chemistry, with a strict adherence to safety standards.
• Be proficient in MS Office software.
