Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Lab Technician to support our client’s medical facility in Centerville, TN 37033. The position is a 6+ month contract with potential to hire, paying $30/hour. Schedule: Any 3 days per week, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, to be discussed in the interview.

Responsibilities include performing routine lab tests, supervising equipment setup/maintenance, reviewing results for accuracy, and recording data. Education: high school diploma/GED; an Associate's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in medical technology or vocational training preferred.
• 10+ years of laboratory experience required.

Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Centerville, TN 37033

Duration: 6+ months , Contract to Hire

Pay rate: $30/hour

Schedule: Any 3 days in a week,7am - 7:30pm , to discussed in the interview.

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Duties

• Perform routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
• A typical lab technician may work under the supervision of a medical technologist.
• Supervise the set up, adjusting, maintenance and cleaning of medical laboratory equipment.
• Review and approve the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices.
• Review the record of test data for accuracy.
• Review pathology results when abnormal cells are found.
• May conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases, and enter findings into computer.
• May conduct blood tests for transfusion purposes and perform blood counts.
• May collect blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood sample.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in medical technology or vocational training preferred.

Experience: 10+ years of laboratory experience required.
