Job summary

HVJ Associates is seeking a Laboratory Technician to assist with laboratory testing and support quality assurance and quality control for construction materials. Training will be provided by the Lab Manager, with emphasis on safe, efficient, and accurate work.

Responsibilities include documenting test work, communicating results to clients, maintaining equipment, and supporting engineering projects as directed. The role requires adherence to the quality manual and procedures.

Additional Key Expectations

• Responsible for making sure that all laboratory work performed meets or exceeds the minimum requirements set forth in the quality manual and the test procedure.
• Responsible for making sure that laboratory has the appropriate resources in place to execute testing per applicable standards. This includes but is not limited to acquiring and maintaining equipment, cross training, preparing and reviewing lab reports, client coordination, resolving conflicts, coordination with other departments and administrative requirements.
