Kids for the Future in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking a Lab Technician to perform chemical and physical analyses of wastewater samples following Standard Methods guidelines. The role requires flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays, with overtime as needed; reports to Lab Director or Senior Lab Analyst.
You will handle sample collection, operate pH meters, spectrometers, and other equipment, document results, and help maintain safety standards in a laboratory environment.
Description
This position reports to the Lab Director, Senior Lab Analyst or Lab Regulatory Compliance Specialist. The Lab Technician performs chemical and physical analyses of wastewater samples according to Standard Methods guidelines. The Lab Technician must have the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts and overtime, if needed.
§ The collection of grab and composite samples from throughout the wastewater treatment plant as well as from outside customers such as school districts and other treatment facilities.
§ Remain compliant with all training requirements for this position. The training requirements for this position are located on InsideACUA in the Employee Resources section (Blue Box) under Training Resources.
§ Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of science OR 3 years laboratory experience
§ 2 years of college with courses in biology and chemistry preferred.

Must have close, distance, color, peripheral and depth vision. Constantly works in all outdoor weather conditions.
