Job summary

Evonik is seeking a laboratory support candidate to conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses in a GMP environment. You will assist scientists with qualitative/quantitative testing of solids, liquids, and gases for R&D and quality control.

The role involves collecting data, following established procedures, and supporting basic projects while organizing daily work to meet changing priorities. Night shifts are required, with a three-on, three-off schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Associate degree in a science related discipline is preferred.
• Basic experience with simple office/operational systems.
• Ability to work with guidance to develop plans and perform actions.

Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials for research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect and prepare standard data in a GMP environment.
• Support others by carrying out simple product development or engineering tasks, such as gathering data or preparing documents.

REQUIREMENTS

• Night shift 6pm-6am (3 days on, 3 days off).
• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree in a science related discipline preferred.
• Basic experience of simple office / operational systems.
• Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
• Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
• Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
• Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

The laboratory is a GMP environment.
