Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Laboratory Technician, preferably in an analytical testing environment.
  • Experience with chemical analysis is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Laboratory Technician I play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely analysis of samples from all operations, helping us maintain our high standards of product excellence. Responsible for operating and maintaining analytical equipment, performing a wide variety of testing on various sample types, maintaining proper documentation, and upholding the high-quality standard at Camco. Continuous focus on precise, reliable results enables us to meet stringent quality control standards and satisfy our customers’ needs. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in analytical techniques, and the ability to work efficiently under time-sensitive conditions.Sample Analysis: Conduct routine testing of samples using various analytical equipment, including but not limited to pH meters, viscometers, and titrators.Data Recording: Accurately record and document all test results, maintaining comprehensive and organized records for easy reference and review.Quality Control: Ensure compliance with established quality control procedures and methods to maintain accuracy and precision in all analyses performed.Timely Reporting: Provide prompt reports of test results to the relevant departments, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding production processes and quality assurance.Organization: Maintain a well-organized and clean laboratory environment, ensuring proper storage and labeling of chemicals, reagents, and samples.Standard Preparation: Prepare and standardize chemical solutions and reagents used in the analytical testing process, following established protocols, and ensuring their accuracy and traceability. Properly document the preparation and expiration dates of standards.Customer Focus: Collaborate closely with Camco personnel in other departments to understand their needs. Ensure adherence to external customer requirements and expectations.Instrument Maintenance: Regularly calibrate and maintain analytical instruments to guarantee optimal functionality and reliability of results.Safety Adherence: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines in the laboratory to maintain a safe working environment.Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Laboratory Technician, preferably in an analytical testing environment, and with exposure to chemical analysis.Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements and expectations.Attention to Detail: High degree of attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and recording data.Detail-oriented and ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing situationsAbility to manage projects through completionAbility to communicate throughout the organization when requiredAbility to manage time effectively
