Mercy Health’s Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Lab Tech Assistant to handle specimen processing, phlebotomy, and pre-analytical tasks for the lab. You will register orders, check specimen quality, and support technologists with instruments and reagents in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Associates in Biology or Chemistry preferred.
• Laboratory experience is noted as preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community with excellent customer service.
• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and transport to laboratory.
• Assist technologists with instruments, reagents, and blood product handling.
• Identify and communicate instrument or equipment issues to the appropriate staff.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks and stocking supplies.
• Troubleshoot problems and support departmental operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
