Position Summary
The Lab Systems Optimization Project Manager is responsible for leading complex laboratory transformation initiatives focused on laboratory systems modernization, workflow optimization, and operational standardization across the enterprise. This role will support the expansion of Epic Beaker into a new laboratory facility while also driving broader efforts to modernize laboratory workflows, processes, and supporting technologies.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with deep laboratory operations experience, including centralized laboratory services, laboratory workflow redesign, and laboratory systems implementation. Candidates who have managed laboratory operations, led lab systems initiatives, and successfully delivered Epic Beaker projects are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
35% Lead enterprise laboratory transformation initiatives, including laboratory workflow optimization, systems modernization, process standardization, and operational improvement efforts.
25% Manage the expansion and implementation of Epic Beaker across new facilities and laboratory environments, ensuring alignment between clinical, operational, and technical requirements.
20% Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including laboratory leadership, operations teams, clinical staff, IT teams, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery and adoption.
10% Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, risk logs, status reports, and executive communications.
10% Oversee vendor relationships, system integrations, testing, and deployment activities while proactively managing project risks and dependencies.
