Parkview Health in Wabash, Indiana, is seeking a Lab Support Services Technician to support laboratory operations through blood collection, specimen handling, and processing for patients of all ages. This on-site role offers a structured training pathway and a potential $2,000 sign-on bonus.

You will work closely with nursing staff, providers, and couriers to ensure timely and accurate testing, while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Laboratory Support Services and Lab Assistant training within the first year of employment.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and specimen collection with accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Performs blood collection on all patient populations using a variety of procedures.
• Utilizes patient identification devices to monitor orders and draws.
• Collects additional specimens as required per protocol.
• Receives, accession, processes, and distributes laboratory specimens for testing.
• Ensures specimens are properly identified, labeled, and routed.
• Maintains documentation and adheres to laboratory protocols.
• Performs urine drug screen collections and breathalyzer testing after certification.
• Adheres to regulatory standards and patient confidentiality.
• Responds to fluctuations in workload and maintains workflow continuity.
