Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Reston Hospital Center seeks an experienced supervisor for laboratory testing. You will oversee staff performing tests, ensure QA/QC and instrument accuracy, and maintain collaborative communication with nurses, physicians, and other staff.

The role requires a BS in medical technology (or ASCP eligible) with at least two years of supervisory experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in medical technology or ASCP eligible.
• SBB certification preferred.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance of tests by staff under supervision ensuring QA/QC compliance.
• Ensure tests are performed according to laboratory procedures and instrument accuracy.
• Maintain frequent contact with nurses, physicians, other staff, and patients as required.
• Report to Laboratory Director and Assistant Director/Manager and coordinate with the department.
