Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Lab Supervisor to lead the automated lab operations, ensuring accurate, timely testing and exceptional service. You will oversee quality programs, regulatory compliance, staff recruitment, training, and performance management while fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.

This role partners with IT and clinical teams to enhance LIS functionality and support ongoing process improvements, ensuring operational efficiency and high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physical, Chemical, or Biological Science.
• Current ASCP certification (or equivalent) relevant to the department.
• Three years of experience in Clinical Laboratory Science.
• Prior experience in a senior/lead/supervisory role in a large lab environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day technical and operational functions of the laboratory.
• Monitor workload distribution and adjust staffing or processes.
• Plan, implement, and monitor QC/QA programs.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard laboratory staff.
• Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Address performance issues through coaching and corrective action.
• Ensure staff competency and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to enhance LIS functionality.
