Job summary

Trinity Health in Dyersville, IA is seeking a part-time Courier to support MercyOne facilities. You will transport laboratory specimens, mail, and supplies between sites while upholding safety, infection control, and customer service standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and the ability to read and speak English. Prior courier experience is preferred; training on LEAN processes is provided.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Two years’ courier experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of materials management preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required, must meet safety standards.
• Must complete Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports laboratory specimens, mail and other materials and/or supplies utilizing customer service.
• Follows established procedures including infection control and bloodborne pathogens.
• Handles chemicals according to safety protocols.
• Meets defined workload productivity standards and supports LEAN principles.
• Uses courier software/devices to track packages and document routes.
• Ensures temperature-dependent materials are transported at required storage temperature.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and courier bags.
• Attends department huddles and follows policies to track packages.
