Job summary

Sauk Prairie Healthcare in Wisconsin is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our Laboratory team on a per diem basis. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, processing, and clerical tasks to support accurate testing and reporting for patients of all ages.

The position requires a high school diploma and may prefer phlebotomy and medical terminology experience, with certification as a Phlebotomy Technician being a plus. Per diem scheduling varies, with occasional weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent within one year of hire.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy and medical terminology experience.
• Certification as Phlebotomy Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and capillary punctures to procure specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for specimen collection and processing.
• Performs CLIA-waved and moderately complex testing as needed.
• Documents specimen collection information accurately in LIS and paperwork.
