Job summary

Labcorp in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team. The role handles specimen accessioning, sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput lab, with a 3:30pm–12:30am shift Mon-Fri and rotating Saturdays.

A High School diploma or GED is required, and preferred applicants have 1+ year in lab, accessioning, production, or warehouse. You'll work in a collaborative environment, handle specimens safely, perform accurate labeling and data entry, and contribute to

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
