Purdue University’s Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory in West Lafayette, IN seeks an entry-level Specimen Processor, Associate to support accurate, reliable lab operations. You will receive, verify, prepare, document, store and transfer specimens under guidance to safeguard integrity.

You will learn to identify discrepancies, escalate issues, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on dependable service and attention to detail.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Up to two years of relevant work experience.

Responsabilidades

• Enter and verify client information, perform routine data quality checks, and correct data in accordance with established procedures.
• Deliver responsive service to clients by phone and in person, gather required information, answer routine case-related questions using established guidance, and collaborate with partner departments to relay messages and direct calls.
• Review specimens and submission forms for completeness and accuracy, identify discrepancies between specimens and submitted information, and route samples to the appropriate departments using established procedures and guidance.
• Prepare and ship diagnostic specimens safely and accurately in accordance with established requirements, identifying and reporting inconsistencies with guidance as needed.
• Support quality practices, routine maintenance, and workspace upkeep, and contribute to other duties as assigned to help the team deliver reliable service.
